Jail Admin Chris Baker

Chris Baker is a 1989 graduate of Woodsfield High School. In 1989 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy to where he served 9 years active duty. In 1998 he was employed by the ODRC and worked there for 19 years as a correctional officer, Lieutenant and a TWL Captain. In 2016 He went to work at the Monroe County Sheriffs office as a Lieutenant in the jail also became assistant Jail Administrator. He Became the Jail Administrator of Belmont County following the retirement of Stan Galownia and is currently employed at the Belmont County Jail as the Jail Administrator.

Chris Baker attended ODRC academy in 1998, OPOTA in the year 2001 also has a lot of experience in the operations of the Adult detention in prisons as well in the jail settings. Staff safety, Mental health and the safety to the public is our major concerns as well to serve the courts and the people in our custody.
